Grameen Trust (GT) has crossed 10,000 New Entrepreneurs in its 626th Executive Design Lab (EDL) held on July 25, 2019 at Sharail Unit under Manikganj Anchal. The Design Lab was chaired by Mr. A. S. M. Shahidul Haque, Anchal Prodhan, Manikganj Anchal. A total of 8 project proposals were presented by the potential new entrepreneurs and all the proposals were unanimously approved during the Lab.
Till July 28, 2019, GT has approved a total of 10,055 Nobin projects with the equity investment of BDT 80,30,70,000 (USD 9,560,357.14). The businesses of these projects include shopkeeping , fisheries & livestock, handicraft & cottage industry, micro business, service & transportation and Agriculture & Forestry. Among 10,055 New Entrepreneurs, 2719 are female which is 27% of the total New Entrepreneurs.
